What is Luneville embroidery?
In recent years, Luneville embroidery has attracted much attention. It is a traditional French embroidery technique and one of the couture embroidery techniques. Use a crochet needle with a hook tip to sew beads and sequins one by one from the back of the fabric to fix them in place. Once you get used to it, you can fill large areas with beads and sequins faster and more accurately than using an embroidery needle. Enjoy the elegant time of embroidery stitch by stitch and the shining world of beads and sequins.
How to use:
When using beads or sequins, thread the thread in advance and pull the fabric back side up onto the embroidery frame.
Place the crochet needle above the fabric and hold the thread under the fabric with your other hand. Pierce the needle into the fabric, pass the needle under the fabric, and sew the beads and sequins in place with a chain stitch.
*The wooden handles of Luneville Crochet Hooks are handmade by artisans, so the size and shape may vary slightly.
